Andrew Poots

Andrew is a certified practicing accountant who holds a Business Degree with an Accounting Major and a Masters Degree in Business Administration.  Andrew has been a registered tax agent since 1993 and is an accredited financial advisor with the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (AFSL number 307169).  Andrew has 20 years’ experience in taxation, business management, investment advice and retirement planning.  Andrew lives in Mackay with his wife Maree and two daughters.  Andrew’s role in the firm is Director, AFSL holder and compliance manager.  Andrew’s main role is as an advisor, planner and long term strategist for Power2′s business clients.

 

 

Peter Jones-Trifelly

Peter is a born and bred local, captaining his school, St. Patricks in his senior year.  His university accounting studies were cut short in his final year on the sudden death of his father at which time he returned to Mackay to run the family business, a commercial laundry employing 25 people.  When leaving the business 7 years later the business employed some 50 people and turnover had grown three fold.  Following, Peter worked in agriculture and banking becoming Business Development Manager for Pioneer Permanent before joining Power2 in 2006.  Peter holds a Diploma of Financial Services, is a member of the National Tax and Accountants Association and is pursuing a Master’s of Business Administration.  Peter is a Director of the business, responsible for business development and specialises in tax for rental properties and investors.  He lives in Mackay with his wife Elizabeth and their three children.

 

 

John Carroll

John is a Mackay local who in his early working life enjoyed a variety of occupations, from television camera man to hotel manager.  John spent 12 years working in the family business, John Carroll Retravision before leaving to pursue an interest in finance. John worked his way through a University Degree and then moved on to post graduate studies in Financial Planning.  He is currently pursuing a Masters of Business Administration.  John joined the Power2 team in November 2008, he is Director, a qualified financial planner and is also responsible for day to day management and planning within the business.  Most importantly, John has plenty of life experience and lived in Mackay with his wife Veronica and their four children.
